Watch Cocaine Cowboys Reloaded. Very good, tells the real story of the Miami coke wars, and they'll likely be pulling events from this doc to put in the series. Escobar was only one of many head honchos, and some were more big time than him

I work with a lot of Latin guys. It's surprising how much they around words like maricon, marica, and nigger.

I just started watching this. Great show. Escobar was rumored to have an apartment in Jackson Heights, where I grew-up, back in the 80s and that ended up verified by 60 Minutes when they came to the neighborhood.

I just finished them all, through season two. Holy shit, what a great series that was. The last episode was great on a lot of levels.....really well done. I guess season 3 is the Cali.

Side benefit is that I used to be fairly fluent in conversational Spanish, or more accurately, 'Spanglish' and enjoyed that recollection from watching the show.

Apparently, Wagner Moura learned Spanish so he could play Escobar.
