I don't really keep up with the newest shit in outdoor clothing, but I needed something for kayaking in cold air and calm water that was thin enough to fit under a drytop & PFD. The fleece stuff I have is all a few years old and is thicker and not intended to fit under multiple layers of other shit, being cut more like a sweatshirt or jacket.
This thing rules. Today I put on a rash guard on as a base layer, then this, then a PFD. Air temp was in the low 50's and I was completely comfortable feeling as though I just had long-sleeve light shirt on. I thought of cold weather kayakers as wackjobs who don't have the sense to stay home when it's cold, but properly geared up, it's pretty damn pleasant. I had to loosen my PFD because I was getting a bit warm.
Strongly recommended.

North Face Microfleece Pullover
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.
