Okay, time for another update. I'm going on six weeks now. I'm thinking about trying raw beets but haven't bought one yet. Nappy, have you used any?

Now I don't know if the Nutribullet and all the greens I've been consuming have anything to do with this but it is worth considering. I'm not really a very big guy about 6 foot and 185-190 and I don't get angry any more than the average guy but a few days ago I got really pissed and I kinda blacked out for awhile. I woke up in another state laying in an alley somewhere and most of my clothes were gone. Well I had on my pants but they were kinda shredded. I got a stranger to lend me his cell phone and I called my wife to come and get me. She was fucking pissed 'cause I guess I pretty much destroyed the house. I asked her what happened and she said I was playing Call of Duty and was getting angry about something and I started turning green and then morphed into this giant muscled up guy then I jumped though the roof. So anyway I don't know if the 'Bullet has anything to do with this but be aware of this potential side effect. Fuck, getting the house repaired has been a real bitch and I'm starting to get real pissed again...uh oh, got to go....

I've got a Vitamix but this thing looks pretty nice.

If you want less of a grass-like flavor to your smoothies, you can blanch kale and the flavor then is no stronger than spinach. I've been meaning to blanch an assload and freeze it in advance but I've been too lazy.

my standard breakfast smoothie:
kale/spinach (either or both, depending on what I have)
Granny Smith apple
banana
chia seeds or milled flax seeds
unflavored whey/hemp protein
ice cubes

Honestly, it still kind of tastes like grass clippings smell but I'm not enough of a morning person to get up and eat real food. Downing four boiled eggs was getting kind of old.

Add a lemon or lime-- the citrus masks the greens pretty well.

Attaboy.

Shapely,

The answer to the raw beets is no, but we did try roasted beets....which I typically like a lot but not in a Nutribullet concoction.

So besides righteous craps, is there an notable upitck in any health markers you feel are important?

I've got on of those 2hp outboard motor size blender that does the same thing but can't for the life of me see the actual point.

Righteous craps are not to be underestimated.

Subjectively speaking of course, I cannot deny that I simply feel better when I slam a Nutribullet shake vs. zipping through the Mickey D's drive thru. Also, while we are not soap box neurotics like The Shafbama's Facebook nutrition friends, my wife and I do feel that our kids are better off having most of their breakfasts consisting of Nutribullet shakes with their over easy eggs (aka 'runny eggs' in my home) along with oatmeal or toast with butter and good, locally cured bacon instead of Eggo waffles and Aunt Jeremiah syrup with a dollop of Country Crock 'spread' before they head out the door...Monsanto be damned! To each their own on that, of course.

Again, don't get me wrong, we'll let the kids rock out at White Castle, have pizza, ice cream, ect....Pringles find their way into our pantry with frequency, too. And I was spotted at Mc D's for two buck Big Macs last Friday. However if you believe, for whatever reason, that replacing refined foods with more raw veggies and fruit in your diet would be beneficial to you, then the Nutribullet is a no brainer as it is cheap, fast and clean up is a breeze over anything else and the volume of those foods condensed into a glass in less than a minute is where the rest of the sizzle is at.

I'm dealing with some health 'challenges' and I am still 'hard fat' although the pounds are dropping. Clearly, I still have insomnia. So the Nutribullet can't give me everything.....even in the seemingly simple world of blenders, there is no OTW.

Cleaning up a Vitamix is fairly simple too - 4 cups of water, drop of dish soap, run it on high for a minute or so, then rinse and dry.

Can this thing double as an immersion blender if you turn it upside down and stick it in soup?

The major benefits Nutribullet has over Vitamix are that it's 3x smaller and 3x cheaper.

No. I do recommend this for your soup needs.....

The Nutribullet or the stick blender would work well if you'd like a smoother, less chunky version of this fine recipe.....

Well, the last time I put on a vest and gun belt to patrol the streets of Harlem, USA, Al Gore was still putting the finishing touches on this internet thing he created, so my cop life is long past. That might be what is throwing off your HatePigsOMeter.

On second thought, apparently, not only does the Nutribullet create delicious shakes in a flash, practically guarantee righteous shits and is the only thing sold on infomercials that has helped Shape gain some penis size, the Nutribullet now mends and builds bridges in bringing opposing mindsets together. What a fucking awesome product.

If I get canned from my job, I'm going to start doing blow again and become an infomercial pitch man.

My wife throws sunflower and chia seeds in the mix all the time without issue, so I'll find out what she does to make those work well in the drinks and will report back to you, Nutribullet comrade!

OK, she says throw the seeds on top of everything else, i.e the last thing you add and you should be good to go.

Definitely, that was just about the assumption that the Vitamix is a PITA to deal with.

Ok. Mine were at the bottom, and I used too many of them. It was a little salty.

Ginger, that's what the milling blade is for...turning those seeds into near powder. I have been using flax seeds, sunflower, hemp, pumpkin etc. What I've been doing is putting those in first and milling them then pouring them out into a glass. Put all the veggies, fruits etc. in add water and grind that up then open it up and pour the seed mixture and a little veggie based protein back in for one more mix-up. No problemo.

After this mornings shake with added fresh mango I discovered I can cling to walls and stuff like spiderman but not for very long though. Keep this on the DL please cuz I don't want some government agency trying to capture me for experiments and shit.

Shape,

You're making it way too hard on yourself. Fortunately for you and others, I have an upcoming Nutribullet Cert planned with all of the SECRETS! that any 'has-their-shit-together-lie-man' would want to know. Here's a teaser: I have most of the height challenged kettleball superstars on my Nutribullet program and they're suddenly growing like weeds. One is even dunking on the brothas at pick-up games in the hood, 'yo.

It's amazing....better than @KC timed sets, 531 or stuff from T-Nation even!

Definitely down for a full three day certification program to fully embrace this wonderful device and teach the unititiated the skills necessary to unlock the hidden secrets of super nutrition. Maybe I could be your Senior NBC (NutriBullet Challenge) Instructor! I could wear some super short-shorts and a tight t-shirt tied up in a knot and some cute sandals to show what the Nutribullet can do for you! LET'S DO THIS!!!

If I become HVLN Nutribullet certified, am I able to open up my own Nutribullet affiliate?
