We had a thread a ways back about pen-and-paper PDAs, and I started testing this: pocketmod.com
It's a flash program that allows you to design a one-sheet document that you then fold into an 8-page pocket-size booklet. Many different kinds of pages are in the program: calendars, lists, etc.
So far it's been great. Quick to make, and after a little fiddling I found my best balance of pages: 1 monthly calendar, 2 weekly calendars, 3 to-do lists, and 2 shopping lists. I keep it in my pocket with a mini-gel pen. By the end of 2 weeks it's used up and I print out another.
I made another one with 8 pages of weekly calendars, which I'm keeping with another pen in the middle console of my car. I'm tracking my mileage, trips, and gas with it to see how I can make my trips more efficient.
You can also download the off-line version, and also a PDF-pocketmod converter. The PDF works by converting up to an 8 page PDF file into the same single-sheet layout for folding, so it's really only for pdf's you make yourself, with very large font size. Otherwise you can't read it when it's shrunk and folded.
Overall a very handy alternative to just "plain" pen and paper. I'll be trying a pocket Moleskine for longer-term stuff, but even if I use that, there'll be a pocketmod or 2 stuck inside.
Give it a try, and download the offline version in case the site dies or something.

Merci, GDG. I've been trying to find a good appointment scheduler approach in "Hipster PDA" form, and this sounds promising.
