Emma Stone is cute and sexy as Gwen Stacey, and Parker makes his own web slingers instead of them being part of the genetic mutation.

Glad Parker makes his own web shooters. That's better than the prior movie interpretation.

Look, throughout the entire history of the comics, Parker was out running around scrounging together pennies in order to pay for Aunt May's heart medication and yeast cream and trying to get his tuition paid at whatever college he was attending. Jew Jonah Jameson had him running all over the city working as a cub photographer and wouldn't pay him a goddamned thing even if he managed to take a picture of Electra getting tag-teamed by Daredevil and Bullseye in the alley behind a strip club. And then Mary Jane was always breaking up with him because he was as broke as ten niggers, and he had to run off and take more pictures or pawn his Spider-Man suit to some Arab pawn shop broker.
And yet...and YET...this is a guy who could not only sew together a bitching assed Spider-Man suit, he could also use Uncle Ben's old AC Gilbert chemistry set to formulate the most amazing substance ever invented outside of that artificial pussy flesh that they put in the Fleshlight, and took old spare parts from radios and the kid next door's Polio braces to fashion a set of shooters to store and deploy the aforementioned amazing substance.
So, how could the nerdy little shit do all of THAT, and yet never took the time to invent something else that he could sell for millions and millions of dollars. We have cell phones, but we still don't have fucking web shooters. I say Parker could have invented the cell phone, and then he would have been cruising in style. Mary Jane and Gwen Stacy and all the rest of those gold digging whores would have been on Pete's jock, and Jew Jonah Jameson could have had that shiftless nigger Robbie Robertson out taking pictures instead of standing around not doing a goddamned thing like the worthless nigger that he is.
That's all I'm saying...I'm done with ya.

This guy didn't.
The Amazing Spider-Man
I might see it at the second-run theaters, kind of like I did with Captain America.

I really hope I don't agree with the reviewer, I'm looking forward to the movie. It seems that a lot of the plot elements the reviewer is bitching about are from the comics. Hollywood assholes should never be allowed to fuck up mythology.JonnyCat wrote:I have heard from friends it's better than the trailers would have you believe. Glad some folks are enjoying it.

Rami had the best vilian right in front of him and never did it. Bruce Campbell should have been Kraven the Hunter and it should have been the 2nd film.
As for the web shooter, I agree that Rami fixed a stupid mistake of Lee's when he had the web shooting be part of his mutation. It made sense that someone endowed with spider attributes to scale would have webs. But it would be coming out his ass.
Whta I did not like about 2 and 3 was all the navel gazing "It sucks to be me." shit. Having power like that would be great, you wouls spend no time having a self pity party and Mary Jane would be your slave the first time you fucked her with your spidey powers.

Just saw it and really liked it-- best of the series and really sets things up for future movies. I don't think Raimi's series was dark enough for Kraven. I hope they handle Gwen Stacy's death well. Campbell would be a great Spidey villain, and hopefully they use him.DARTH wrote:Rami had the best vilian right in front of him and never did it.
