A fixed blade has always been on my web gear. Its 12 years old and still will do anything I need it to. I have wedged it in rocks and hung @ 100 lbs of gear on it several times. The folders were gifts (1 birthday and 1 for the entire wedding party) The new one was just a must have.

I met Dwayne before at his shop out in San Marcos. Real nice guy. I have a couple of his fixed blades and they are fuckin' bullet proof. Just don't take them in "the drink". They rust up pretty bad if you don't fresh water rinse them right away, especially under the 550 wrap. Nice thing is that he'll refinish and rewrap them for free.
