One of the best political type books I've read in a long time. Explores political leadership when leaders are infirm in one way or another-- via medication, drug abuse, senility, temporary incapacity due to surgery, insanity, etc... Many short vignettes of western and worldwide examples. Goes into political components, dilemmas for doctors (and the sometimes questionable qualifications they have), as well as the effects these problems had/ may have had on major world events.
I don't remember why I picked it up, but I couldn't put it down. The book is relatively short, but covers leaders from JFK, FDR, Churchill, Hitler, Stalin, Reagan, the third world, and more. Not technical, but not pop psychology. Highly recommended for history buffs.
