I've been reading him for years, just found out about 2 years ago that he was writing/producing The Wire.

Late 20s Marine Corps vet of Iraq in DC does jobs for local criminal attorney. Gets into things deeper than he wants. Solutions are extreme.

Excellent. Thoroughly enjoyable.

It's worth it to look up Pelecanos old work.
