Hunter S. Thompson is turning over in his grave. (well, he would be if he had one)
http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/pi ... a-20140714
The comments are a roiling mass of scorn and abuse.
There is no possible way this is an actual article. This is so terribly, terribly bad. Just bad. It reads like it was written by an 8-year-old who had never HEARD of a gun, and was told to write an article using Wikipedia as their only source.
I think it's great the Rolling Stone gives high school students an opportunity to submit articles illustrating journalistic bias, am just surprised they printed one.
How do you manage to retain your job? Most people who are this inept at work get fired pretty quickly
In other news, the five most fattening foods are hot foods, cold foods, room temperature foods, warm foods, and frozen foods.
On a scale of one to potato, how ignorant is the writer?

Lots of gold in those comments.
Five most played guitar strings:
1. E
2. G
3. B
4. A
5. D

It's Seeahill I feel sorry for. He has to list Rolling Stone on his resume.

It was riveting! I couldn't wait to find out what number 5 could be. After pistols, revolvers (not to be confused with grenade launchers), rifles and shotguns what would be next? BB guns? Those t-shirt cannons at the basketball game? Black powder?! What would be the fifth most dangerous type of gun?

I think the editors ran it to see if anybody is still actually reading Rolling Stone.

That was so great! I can't tell if Rolling Stone is intentionally trolling or if Kristen Gwynne gives mind shattering blowjobs.

Doubt it's the blowjobs thing since her twitter bio lists freelance misandrist.

I worked for them 69 thru 76, with Hunter, Tim Ferris, Joe Ester house, Chas Perry, Ben Fong_Torres, David Felton, Tim Crouse, Cameron Crowe and other greats who, for all sorts of reasons, are not responsible for current content.

Timmay pretty-much just described my dream work environment.
Dude, you do realize that somehow, through some cosmic twist of fate, providence and blind, stupid luck, your life is one big, awesome amalgam of thousands of people's bucket lists all rolled into one?
Ever blaze a fat doobie with Hunter back in the day? Or Bunny Wailer?
Wait, don't tell me LOL

Apparently clickbait bullshit is the only way to make a buck with online media.

Reading comment sections in newspapers and magazines provides nothing positive in one's life.
And besides, what type of persons believes they have something clever or witty to add to a 4000 comment thread. It's a waste of time.

They ceased to be a Rock and Roll/ Pop culture mag years ago. "If your one of the cool kids, you will believe as we tell you to believe."
I loved the mag from about 10 to 18, and then I started reading SPIN.
If it ever goes revolution, their offices are a gold mine of people to kill.

I was in an argument with an in-law about the national debt and spending policies two years ago at a family drunk-fest...erm, family reunion. He explained that I was totally off-base and could learn everything I need to know about economics (!) from Rolling Stone, and I could borrow his copy. I just walked off and realized I had just been competing in the special olympics of arguments.

You're upset because you used to say the same thing in the article we are mocking about handguns being dangerous but nobody cared enough to make fun of you.

I like to stay in familiar territory.
