I'll be heading up there in a few days for a little relaxation. I'm just trying to get away by myself for a little while. Any ideas on things to do or visit? I don't drink or do drugs, but I'm open to loose women.

Some awesome bars, and at least a few years ago when I was there, a ton of foreign exchange students. One Brazilian lass....she was very pleasant to be around.

Go to the bars and drink club soda. Or start drinking. It'll be worth it. Just don't pay for a cab with a credit card. Got my shit stolen and all fucked up.

There are tons of great neighborhoods in Toronto and I'm far from expert on them.

For a rookie visitor, consider checking out Yonge (pronounced Young) Street between King and Bloor streets. This encompasses part of the theater district and tons of places to eat, shop and hang out (including the cross streets of Dundas & Queen). I usually just wander around until I find a place that feels right.

The Hockey Hall of Fame is south of King and near Yonge if I recall correctly. There's a restaurant near there I found interesting called Marche. It has a kiosk concept. You wander around and select whatever you want from a wide variety of kiosks.

I forget where the Royal Ontario Museum is but it's in the downtown area and is a first rate cultural and natural history museum. The Art Gallery of Ontario is full of big time art.

There is a big live music scene as well but I don't know my way around enough to offer any suggestions.

TO has a good subway and trolley system. It's a great city.

I was there for a conference and tagged along with some folks who knew the area better than I did.

Canadians are friendly and approachable. Whenever one makes eye contact with one you should smile, introduce yourself, and then ask them if they can show you where John Candy lives.

I have not been there in a long time but it's probably my favorite city to travel to for work, better than Miami, New York, Dallas, and Los Angeles. It's only competition are Las Vegas, New Orleans, and Austin.

The downtown area was at that time really safe for a city that size, little danger of wandering into a war zone (not true AT ALL in Las Vegas and New Orleans). It's foot travel friendly and the subways are not too bad to figure out. Tons of great restaurants, bars, etc. The strip clubs were epic and pretty much a contact sport.

I have a good buddy Rob that lives there. He can hook you up, big time
