Intu-Flow & CST DVD

I searched the forum for a review on these, and didn't find one directly, so I'll post one.
I know Sonnon is a controversial figure on this forum, but I have to say that I am pleased with both products.
The Intu-Flow I ordered as a complete package, with the mini-clubs and wall charts, plus the Xtension program. I'm well satisfied. I've had it for about a week and a half and it feels really good as I've been doing it once a day.
The CB Training for Circular Strength DVD is good too. I have a pair of 15's on the way to accompany it.
I used to think CST was all bullshit, but after using it via Intu-Flow and Xtension, I'm sold on having it in my toolbox.
I'd be happy to answer any related questions about these products.

Intu-Flow® is a nice program. I was really pleased with it. I think this is some of Sonnon's best stuff. He is great with movement.
Lately he has been putting shit up for free on the Rmax site. He might be learning on how to actually market shit now. Rather than bullying people for discussing his stuff without blowing him, he is showing people bits of what they might get if they give him money. Grand idea.
Well packaged deal. Not sure if everyone is going to do it. No matter what Sonnon thinks about JM being the foundation of all fitness. I have been wanting to check out Ageless Moblity®.
Flowfit® is pretty good too; although, you can tell he has learned something about production since then.
Overall he is becoming less wooden in his presentation and using less useless jargon.
Rmax Powered Running® is a load of schlock. It is ridiculous and makes me cringe thinking that anyone believes this has much to offer other than moments of contemptuous laughter. I wish I could post clips of the DVD . . . It is unbelievable.
If he abandons his desire to be everyone's
guru, I might not flinch as much when I use a Clubbell®.

Good points. I was going to put up a training log on Blogger, but within an hour I had Travkin Emailing me to be sure and include the ® to this and that, and include a statement that CST etc etc are copyrighted.... ... So I thought the hell with it. Stuff like that takes the wind out of my sails. Never did like recording things down anyway.
My 15's came as did the CB DVD. Both are good, and while I can work with the 15's fairly easily, they do wear me out pretty quick. I think around Turkey Day I'll order the 25 lb pair.

What a brilliant stroke of marketing genius.

It's the same as if you talk about drinking a Coke.
You don't have to write "I drank a Coke (CR)"
Here you go.
Clubbell. Intu-Flow. Be Breathed.

The effect is the same: they look like a collection of asshats, and deprive themselves of free advertising to boot. All for nothing. What tools (TM).

This kinda shit is legend. I think they have reconsidered some of their more aggressive approaches. Usually small companies are glad for any word of mouth advertising. Rmax has had a flawed business model IMHO.

Travkin actually searches the web for that shit and emails damn near everyone who doesn't provide a CR or TM.
It's really inane.

No. I'm dead serious. Which is shame because I really like the CST training philosophy, and am extremely satisfied with the things I've purchased so far... It's just that that kind of shit sends me a bad vibe and then kills my motivation to publish reviews, training logs, etc, even when it reflects them positively.
Edited: Re: Jack,
I'm going to buy the 25's anyway because even if I can't use them immediately after I open the package, I will at some point. Don't worry, I progress with caution and surety. It isn't a race to me.

The Russian emailed me about my blog, then Scott followed up an apologized about the deal. He said I was welcome to come train and taste the Kool Aid (tm) ;-)
That was actually pretty funny. No big deal. I just use the term "Clubs" from now on.

He needs to let that humor come through in his products and online presence. He recent web clip on his site was nice.
The forums over there need a lot of work. Have you seen Scott's disclaimer that he has had applied to all his posts? The dude comes off as a paranoid whack job.
He needs to learn there is no such thing as bad press. He should love it, if people lift his comments on a public forum and post them elsewhere. Even if he is misquoted. Someone might actually visit Rmax then. If they can put up with the sycophants, they might buy something. So it goes . . .
He has a lot to offer and does offer a lot; it just requires some heavy duty tin foil.

I have first hand experience that Scott is a good person and I don't understand why they have to be so aggressive about the commercial aspect. As Sam said, it's really offputting, and that's a shame because the CST/Rmax approach has a lot to offer.

What I like about RMax is that their stuff is different. It's not the same old hashing through about 20 different exercises that so many DVDs and products are. Scott evolves himself and his materials. Very cool.
Plus, personally, Scott's always been friendly and courteous to me. That attitude translates only a bit to his forums. I think if it came through more, there'd be a much bigger community there. He used to have a problem with getting across his point in his writings, but perusing what he's been writing lately, that's no longer the case, and hasn't been for some time.
The folks who go with RMax tend to stay with RMax.

Scott's got an account here, however, given the nature of this board, I think he only visits when someone tells him his name is being taken in vain.

Business practices aside, Trav knows how to dress. Around his way you spell Nikolay P.I.M.P.

Does he? He might be a great guy, I just don't like the pushiness.

Sonnon is just as weird. Good cop; bad cop. Spend some time on the boards over there, Scott has his moments. I am sure he is a "good guy" whatever that means. Look at his board .sig. I hardily recommended many of his products (not the ridiculous ones, ie Rmax Powered Running®).
Does anyone remember using the scare of HIV to market his UGS®? Come on.
He has lightened up over the last couple years, especially this one. KBs used to be out, but hey now they are OK, but isn't he on the AKC staf now? Martial arts consultant . . .
Perhaps now that he has a gym to make money off of, he can give up on the idea of patenting arm and hip circles or Yoga asanas or clubs that you swing around.
He needs to rework his ad copy and abandon his silly The Path® guru BS and concentrate on some more of those instructional web clips.
I just need a better guru.

I remember reading that in the catalog. Jaw-dropping and not exactly his proudest moment.
What's so awful about RMax Running? I havent' seen it and know very little about the technical side of running.

I don't know about HIV, whatnot, does sound a bit extreme. But folks do get herpes and other things from wrassl'n room mats.
Herpes? I doubt that. Maybe your typical parasites you might get in a gym locker room, but I have never heard conclusively of people getting herpes from mats, toilet seats, etc. It is not the environement where bacteria or viruses flourish.
I've spent a lot time on mats and never had a problem nor know of anyone getting anything other than athlete's foot or ringworm. I've had neither.
HIV? Never. This copy came out long after most people realized that HIV contraction was limited to very specific and limited contact. Certainly not from blood on a mat through a cut on your foot. Highly unlikely.
If you have info on the herpes thing, I would like it. Probably will never need it again, but curious. I think I pretty much immune to herpes anyhow.
