I have the 2nd edition, considerable revisions and additions from the 1st. I haven't found a better OL instruction book yet.

I have the first edition. It is as good as any other weightlifting book out there. Not significantly better than any of the other good ones.

What are the other good ones in your opinion? If you had to choose just one?

Jim Schmitz and Tommy Kono are two guys with good books that come to mind. But I know there are some more that I thought were good too.

That crazy egyptian's book isn't bad and pretty comprehensive. I found that his viewpoint from another country was interesting and refreshing.

Not sure if they still sell it, but the Jim Schmitz video & workbook seem about as no-brainer as you could possibly make learning the olympic lifts without a coach. The video is snuff-level production, but good stuff.

Good to know, I have a copy of Schmitz' video. Will have to look around to borrow a copy of the manual.
Shaf must be referring to
Mohamed Hewie - Essentials of Weightlifting & Strength Training. Might add this to my wish list.

He is a nut. It's not a bad book though.
