Great movie from Harmony Korine. The guy that wrote Kids and wrote/directed the classic Gummo (plus lesser awesome movies like Julien Donkey-Boy and Ken Park).
The best part of the movie is feeling the energy drain from the moronic teen girls in the audience who think they are gonna be watching some spring break comedy with the teen stars.
Non-stop drunken bikini footage and James Franco playing an awesome wigger.
Interview with Korine about the movie:

Saw an interview clip where he (Harmonie Korine) said he started dating his 26 year old wife "10..errr, 8! years ago".

I had high hopes for this movie and it definitely delivered.
Hot chicks abound and James DeFranco's character is fucking awesome.

Franco killed this role, he was great.
The girls aren't sympathetic at all. They're a pack of sociopaths who never develop into something else. It seemed like none of the characters are supposed to be emotionally appealing, because they're not realistic or, like I said, they're sociopathic.
I don't know if there's a point to this movie. It's aesthetically pleasing, but the story was dogshit.

Movies with a point suck. They are not real life. This encapsulated the authentic spring break experience, added in an awesome Franco role and then had the surrealistic flourishes and ending.
I think any movie with teen girls or boys demonstrating character development of any sort should ring untrue.

Fair enough. I guess I just wanted some depth to the girls. They were pretty much bat-shit crazy from the get go.

And that's not realistic...how?
